The tedious part, done for you.
Budgeting breaks down in the small chores: typing in receipts, deciding where coffee with a friend goes, remembering who owes you for that work lunch. Manna's AI handles those chores so you can spend your time on what the money is for. The decisions stay yours.
Mira, your budget companion
Ask Mira a question in plain words, typed or spoken. She answers from your own budget, and every answer links to the transactions behind it.
Not sure which line something belongs on? Mira points to the right one, or offers to add one line instead of ten.
“Where should coffee with Mike go?”On any line, at any store, on any tag, over any stretch of time.
“Bible study this year”Work lunches and expenses someone will pay back stay out of your budget until they're repaid.
“What does Paycor owe me?”Your pet, your car, your home, each with a history of what was spent and what was done.
“What have we done for Riff?”The receipt reader
Take a photo of a receipt, invoice or check. Manna reads the store, date, total and line items, finds the matching bank charge, and files it.
Upload a bank statement and the transactions come in sorted, with duplicates caught automatically.
Images are read and then discarded. Manna keeps only the details you see on screen.
What the AI will never do
- ✓Never move money. Manna can't pay, transfer or withdraw. Bank connections are read-only.
- ✓Never sell your data or use it for ads. Your budget is yours.
- ✓Never train AI models on your finances. The service that reads your receipts (Anthropic's Claude) doesn't keep them or learn from them.
- ✓Never decide for you. Mira suggests and you confirm. Nothing changes your budget until you tap it.
- ✓Never see your bank password. Bank linking runs through Plaid, and Manna never receives your login.
How it works, plainly
Mira's answers are worked out on your iPhone from your own Manna data. Asking her a question doesn't send it to an AI service.
Voice questions are turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, on your iPhone whenever the device supports it. Manna never records or stores audio.
Receipts, checks and statements are sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic's Claude to be read. They're returned as text and then discarded, and each account has a usage limit.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, kept separate for each household, and yours to export or delete at any time.
